Or at least an extra. Let’s be realistic.
Here’s your chance. A TV comedy series is in town through Thursday, shooting scenes, and they’re still looking for extras. You wanna sign up? You can do it online. Word is, the cast of extras is filling up fast and now they’re looking primarily for folks over 60.
Wages? How about $100-150 a day. But that’s for a full day, maybe up to 12 hours so that comes to…what?…maybe $8-12 an hour.Still, that’s better than a poke in the eye and if you manage just a fleeting three second appearance in the show, you’ll have bragging rights over your friends for years to come.
And so, what show is it? The producers aren’t saying and the crew has been told to keep it quiet but these things have a tendency of leaking out. We’ll leave it to others to fill you in. We’re told the show has filmed in the area before.
But they’re shooting different scenes around Marquette this week, and yes, they’re the ones responsible for closing down Sugarloaf Mountain on Tuesday–an outrage! A tragedy! A cause to take up arms!
