OKAY, THIS IS a pretty big deal.
Travel Marquette had to keep it quiet until today, but now that it’s been posted, we can talk about it.
The New York Times (yeah, that one–probably the world’s most important newspaper) today posted an extensive online article, “36 Hours in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.”
Extensive, comprehensive, detailed, flattering.
Quote: “….A weekend is not enough time here, but in nonpolar weather, it is sufficient to hike, kayak, bike and get a taste of the peninsula’s endless allure (whitefish and pasties will be served)…..”
Among the mentions in the article: Tahquamenon Falls, Seney National Wildidfe Refuge, Johnny Dogs in Munising, Pictured Rocks, the Landmark, Vangos, Donckers, the Vierling, the Ore Dock, Steinhaus, Presque Isle….The list goes on and and on.
But enough. Read “36 Hours in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan” for yourself when you find a free 10 minutes.
